Founded in 2002 by Dr. Zha Fu (D. V. M.), Kunhong Animal Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is located in the largest industry park in central China, nearby Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan. The current production unit is located in 7 acres of land, and our second unit which it is same size as the first one and under same blue-print but better equipped will be in production in June 2008.
Dr. Zha Fu's was born in a poor mountain village and become successful throughout years hard study and working. As a social entrepreneur, he provides job opportunity to handicapped people, provides them with working skill training program and positions them in appropriate production areas such as packaging and quality control. A total of 280 employees consists of 10% handicapped people in our company. Given the fact that China has 83 million handicapped people but only 23 million are employed. Around 9 million employable handicapped people have no jobs, and their number increases by 300,000 a year.
Since 1989, Dr. Zha Fu has been working in veterinary pharmaceutical industry and had successfully prompted a manufacturer to be among the top 50 manufacturers in China. He has been demonstrating the excellence of his leadership in Kunhong again. With 5 years' effort, Kunhong has been also recognized as one of the top 50 leading veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturers in China in 2006. Our domestic annual sales volume has been over US$10 million in the past 2 years, though not yet having overseas market. Currently we are actively working with international colleagues to explore the possibility of OEM and buyer label cooperation.
